Campaigns and issues

There are many problems and issues which relate to immigration detention.  The organisations who are active in their field briefly explain the issues and their positions on them in this section of the website. 

Some of these organisations run public campaigns which deal directly with these issues and you can get involved with them by contacting the lead organisations directly.  Many other organisations carry out lobbying and policy work to improve the conditions and treatment faced by those people held as immigration detainees.  This includes discussing these issues with civil servants and/or the companies which run detention centres.  Alternatively, they carry out activities which alleviate the negative impact of immigration detention.
