Denied, Detained and Deported: documentary screenings and discussion on 24 July

Denied, Detained and Deported: an evening of documentary screenings and discussion on 24 July 2012

National Coalition of Anti-Deportation Campaign (NCADC) presents a double documentary screening on detention and deportation, at 93 Feet East in Brick Lane in East London on 24 July 2012.

This is an opportunity to see two hard-hitting documentary films highlighting fundamental injustices of the asylum and immigration systems.  How Long is Indefinite? exposes the human costs of immigration detention without a time-limit in the UK.  Hamedullah: The Road Home is a moving story of a young Afghan who claims asylum in the UK, and his struggle to cope after being deported on a ‘ghost’ charter flight back to Afghanistan.

The screenings will be followed by a panel discussion with young people from Afghanistan, Lisa Matthews of NCADC and Kate Blagojevic of Detention Action and the Directors of the two documentaries.

Tickets are free but you need to book your place by following the instructions here.
