We are pleased to welcome two additional speakers, Beatrice Botomani (Trustee, Women for Refugee Women) and Hamish Arnott (Bhatt Murphy Solicitors), at the Parliamentary meeting on immigration detention on 10 December 2012.  The meeting marks the International Human Rights Day and aims to raise awareness of immigration detention as a global and domestic human rights issue.

Other speakers are Roland Schilling, UNHCR Representative to the UK and Philip Amaral, Jesuit Refugee Service Europe/ International Detention Coalition.  The meeting will be chaired by Sarah Teather MP.

The meeting is hosted by the Parliamentary Human Rights Group and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Refugees, and is organised by UNHCR and the Detention Forum.

For further information about the meeting, please contact gbrloea@unhcr.org.  There has been a huge demand for seats, and you might be placed on a waiting list.
